Holz ist Bernardo Baders bevorzugtes Material, weniger aus persönlicher Vorliebe als aufgrund der Gegebenheiten der abgelegenen Region am Fuße der österreichischen Alpen, wo er lebt und arbeitet. Damit schafft er warme, einladende Räume, die sowohl an das lokale Kulturerbe als auch an ein Gemeinschaftsgefühl erinnern. An dieser Schnittstelle zwischen Handwerkskunst und Bauwesen angesiedelt sind die fünf Projekte, die Arquitectura Viva vorstellt. Die Titelgeschichte der Ausgabe befasst sich mit drei Museen, die kürzlich in historischen Gebäuden eröffnet wurden: die neue Cartier-Stiftung, die Ateliers Jean Nouvel im Herzen von Paris errichtet hat; das Fenix-Museum, das MAD Architects aus Hafenlagern in Rotterdam umgebaut hat; und das Siyadi-Museum, mit dem Anne Holtrop einer herrschaftlichen Residenz in Muharraq, Bahrain, neues Leben einhaucht.

Wood is Bernardo Bader's primary material, less out of personal preference than due to the constraints of the remote area at the foot of the Austrian Alps where he lives and practices. With it, he creates warm, enveloping spaces that evoke both vernacular heritage and a sense of community. It is at this confluence of craftsmanship and construction that the five projects detailed by Arquitectura Viva are situated. Meanwhile, the issue's feature includes three museums that have recently opened in historic buildings: the new Cartier Foundation, which Ateliers Jean Nouvel has placed in the heart of Paris; the Fenix ??Museum, which MAD Architects has adapted from port warehouses in Rotterdam; and the Siyadi Museum, with which Anne Holtrop breathes new life into a stately residence in Muharraq, Bahrain.
