This book explores what happens when architects and designers are “in the making,” focusing on how their working methods address complex challenges and contribute to societal development. It emphasizes a circular process of moving between ideas and material exploration, requiring continual shifts in focus to achieve clear design objectives. Featuring twelve articles by writers, researchers, and lecturers from Denmark and abroad, the book accompanies the Methods in Architecture and Design exhibition at the Royal Danish Academy (2024–2025).
